$75 BUCKS LATER...

..and the boys have all their school supplies and are ready for school! All they need now is new lunch bags and they are set! Thank goodness they did not need new backpacks this year!! They cannot wait 'til Friday when they find out their teachers and who is in their classes!!!

FROM ONE SPORT TO THE NEXT...

Justin had his last Dragons AAU Basketball Tournament this weekend, and again they came in 2nd place! They have been getting tough these last few games! We all love basketball as you all know and will miss it until DYBL starts in January!

Now that Baksetball is over Justin (and I) have a ONE WEEK break until Football starts....5 days a week 2-1/2 hours a day! Let's just hope this weather cools down a bit for these little kids!!!

I can't even tell you how excited he was to put on all his gear after he got it this weekend! God I pray he doesn't get crushed like a grape out there!!

I'VE BEEN "TAGGED"

Okay, so my friend Steph has "tagged" me...whatever that means! I'm not up on the lingo in the world of bloggers or what it really means, so I guess I'll just answer these questions I've been tagged with! When did you start blogging and why? Or Talk about your blog. What can I learn about you in under 5 minutes?
I started blogging just over a year ago. My sister, Rhonda, www.swenski72.blogpsot.com was blogging and I thought it was cool and decided to start one! I loved the updates on my nephews and niece! My intital reason was to keep all of our family posted on what the kids are up to, but I'm realizing I think it's my friends who live within a mile of me that are the ones who look at it the most!! I try to update as often as I can, sometimes it is the same stuff over and over but hey, it's a new post for ya'all to look at!!

How do you use blogging to build friendship?
Well, really I only read the blogs of my real life friends!

Who do you read every day, rain or shine? (other than RL peeps)
Other than my sister Rhonda and my real life friends Steph, Vicki, Debbie & Alisa (their links are on my fav's) I'm kind of one of those "next blog" type people! I love to look thru the random blogs! I also on occasion will check out the links of Steph's page of her favorites. I do have a couple others I check out occassionally...

Why did you choose to share that piece of yourself in a photograph?

How would you describe your writing style?
I don't really have a writing "style". My blog is pretty much a photo blog of my three boys. I guess I can be a bit sarcastic at times, but those who know me know I'm just totally joking!!

Hhmmm...that's a tough one! Not sure....

What don’t you write about?
Well, like I said it's pretty much a photo blog so there's LOTS I don't write about!! Really, I would never write anything to hurt the feelings of any of my friends or family. Not that I would or would want to or have anything to say to do so!!

Anything considered a no-no in your book?
Well, since my kids, my hubby, I think my family, my friends and their kids read this there's lots I can't post!! heehee!!

How do you feel about meeting bloggers in real life?
I never have, but if there was a particualr blog I liked to read I think it would be cool!

Have you written anything controversial? Is blogging controversial?
I don't think I've written anything controversial (HAVE I my friends??) and YES I do think it can be VERY controversial!

Are you and your blogging persona the same person?
I think so.... ?!?!?!

Have you ever anonymously posted on a site to flame them?
Not to flame them but I will post a comment if I come across a blog I like. I love when I get comments then I know someone is actually looking!!

If you had a super power, what would it be?
Like Steph, to make everyone's worries, no matter what they are big or small, go away!!

MY PRECIOUS LITTLE "JAKE-O-LANTERN"

Oh my! Jake keeps losing teeth! He lost one of his bottom ones in Almanor, his top one last night and the other top one is about to fall out! I'm just not sure how this boy will be able to eat a footlong sandwich at Subway with no teeth!!! It doesn't even look like Jake with his teeth gone!! Don't you parents just love this stage when they start losing all their teeth! Hopefully some of them will be grown in before school pictures :-))

WAY TO GO DRAGONS!

Congrats to the 5th Grade Dragons...they came in 2nd place this weekend in their Basketball Tournament! The boys got so tough this weekend and did a good job! The one game they lost was so intense I was even a nervous wreck! So close!! Actually the Dragons had the lead most of the game but just couldn't pull it off and lost by 2 points! I think there is one more tournemanet and then their season is over! We will sure miss our Basketball! At least we have football starting in 2 weeks to look forward to!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

COUSIN JEFFREY

My mother-in-law Shirley brought Cousin Jeffrey down to visit for a couple of days. The cousins had so much fun just playing together! Since Jeffrey lives so far away from us we don't get to see him or his family that often! We didn't really do much but just hang out and while the kids played! I think Jeffrey & grandma were tired from their trip to Monterrey! Joe & his Mom did manage to get in a game of golf though, which they had fun!

LAKE ALMANOR 2006

I want to start off by saying how much we all missed having my Aunt Dolores (Debbie & Kelly's mom) and my Uncle Dennis at Lake Almanor. As some of you know he has been battling Cancer for the last 14 months and is not doing well. We all sure misssed them and they were constantly in our thoughts!

We all had a great week and enjoyed just hanging out with all the family! It was a little mini family reuinion really! The gang....Kelly(my cousin), Brian, Logan and his buddy Chad. Debbie(my cousin), Dave, Zach, Joey & his girlfriend Courtney. Uncle Sonny(my mom's brother) & Aunt Arlene. Buddy(my mom's cousin) & Ella. Robert (my cousin), Laura, Adam & Ally. My Mom & Dad. Lance (my brother), his girlfriend Michele and her kids Vanessa, Anonio & Kayla. Later in the week Steph, Wolfie & Lexi came up to hang out with us!

We had so much fun all week! We started eating..and drinking...the minute we got there! So much good food all week! Most days we hung at the beach all day taking turns going out in Brian & Robert's boats. The guys golfed a couple of days, went fishing, played tennis and most importantly cruised around in the golf carts all week! The kids LOVE going for rides! The weather was perfect all week! On the 4th we hung out at the beach all day then had a big 'ol bbq at our place then off to the fireworks! My kids were so beat from the long day that they missed most of the fireworks! We had a great week with lots of great family time and even more laughs! We can't wait to go back next year! (p.s. I only had my camera with me a couple of times, so there is alot I didn't get!!!)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY BLOG!

As of June 27th, I have officially been BLOGGING for ONE YEAR! Wow! How time flies! I absolutely love blogging...it's truly my "therapy"!! WE'RE BACK!

Well, we are back from our week at Lake Almanor! A GREAT time was had by all! A huge group of my family was there and it was so great to just hang out with all my cousins, Aunts & Uncles. Unfortunately, my Uncle Dennis who is very ill with Cancer is not doing well and many had to leave early to go be with him. Otherwise, we had such a fun week, and LOTS of funny stories and great pictures to come! Bear with me though, I'm still trying to unpack and we are now heading out for Basketball Tournaments all weekend! Until I can post, I will leave you with this...
