ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER?

I'M NOT!
Did anyone else watch the Premiere of this last night?? Did you like it?
It's quite funny! And, I'm not the only one who's not smarter than a 5th grader!

SO, MY PROBLEM IS...

...a bulging disc in my neck! As most of you know, I woke up two weeks ago today with a stiff neck. The next day I couldn't even get out of bed (yes, on my 3rd day of my new job!) and Joe had to take me to Urgent Care. Since that Dr. visit it has not gotten any better...the pain has moved from my neck and back into my left arm. It's quite painful and no pain medication seems to be working. The pain in my arm also includes my index finger being numb. So, back to the Dr. He says it's a bulging disc beteween my L4 &L5 (I think thats what he called them??) vertebrae in my neck picnching the nerve leading into my index finger. He wants to try oral steriods for 5 days to see if that helps. If not, we will go over next set of options. Possibly, steroid injection into the neck and Physical Therapy. His last resort is to have an MRI done, because by doing that they aren't checking to see what's wrong they are checking to see what they will do...i.e. surgery. So, everyone keep their fingers crossed that it goes away these next five days so I don't have to have an MRI!!!

RANDOM JOSHY

So, I'm getting ready for work this morning and Joshy walks into my room and out of the blue tells me he doesn't want to get big that he always wants to be four. I think, awww, he just wants to always be my baby, so I ask him why he doesn't want to get big and he tells me because he doesn't know how to back up a car....

So RANDOM this child of mine!!!!!!

PAINTBALL!

Justin went to a birthday party at the Paintball Arena this weeknd. The boys had such a blast and I think Justin has now found a new "hobby"....expensive hobby....From the stories I heard it sounds like they had a great time with many war wounds to prove it!

And, the biggest boys...it was very fun for the kiddos because the Dads were invited to go and play too! I'm pretty sure my husband was the biggest kid of all out there!

BASKETBALL - 2/24/07 WEEK #6

WoW! it's so hard to believe that the season is over halfway! Feels like we are just getting started! Another fun weekend of games! Jake's team TIED again! Can't you believe it?? :-))

Justin's team lost this weekend. The team they played has two great players and they are just hard to stop sometimes. It's all good though! Justin did get to the free throw line a couple of times!

OUR VISIT WITH BK!

It was our lucky day! Aunt Steph had plans so we got to "watch" Baby Kendall for a couple of hours last Friday! She is the cutest thing and such a sweet sweet little girl! She was such an angel and Joshy just loved playing with her!!

BASKETBALL 2/17/07 WEEK #5

Jake's team played really well and for most of the kids the game is really clicking...they are working well as a team, making passes, setting screens and just playing great overall!! Jake takes it very serious and we are so proud of how well he is playing this year!! Going in for the steal....
We went early to watch Trenton's game, and with it being a 4 day weekend t-jo only had three players. So, what do you do then? Grab your friends and have some fun! Seany P, Wolfie and Justin helped out so they could at least have a scrimmage game. It was fun watching them because they have never all been on the same team together! With the exception of Wolfie & Justin one year.
After that, Justin had his game. The game itself was a bit..crazy...aggressive...I just don't know the right word! Justin got hurt in the last two minutes of the game...took an elbow to the eye and fell straight down on his head. It freaked me out because from where I was sitting it looked like he landed right on his face. He ended up being okay but his eye swelled up and he had a bump on the back of his head. It's always so scary when they land down hard like that! Thanks to everyone who called and checked on him!! The sucky thing is they ended up losing by TWO points!!

WiiPLAY..BEAT THIS!

The kids FINALLY got their long awaited Christmas gift...WiiPLAY. This game is really cool!! It has 9 different games...Shooting Range, Find Mii, Table Tennis, Pose Mii, Laser Hockey, Billiards, Fishing, Charge! (Cow Racing) and Tanks! If you have a Wii but don't have this...go get it! It is so fun! And, guess who holds not ONE but TWO records in our house?!?!? Me!! :-)) 602 on Shooting Range and Level 36 on Find Mii...My family can't stand that I have these records!!!! Or believe it....

CONGRATS JUSTIN!

Okay, I have officially dethroned myself as "Mom of The Year" for the whole "Wii" thing and now put myself on the "Dumbest Mom of the Year" block! About a month ago we got a letter in the mail saying Justin had been chosen as a member of the Pop Warner Pacific Northwest All Regional Scholastic Team. Well, dumb me didn't think too much of it, I actually just thought it was about the fact that during Football season several of the kids got an award for maintaining good grades and were all presented a certificate from the Redwood Empire League (the league in which they played. The Redwood Empire is part of the Pacific NW Region which is several Western States). Well, come to find out (today!) our local Pop Warner President called to let us know that Justin was one of eight kids from "our town" (including Trenton!!!) that were chosen for this Scholastic Team and they are now eligible to be chosen for the Pop Warner All American Scholastic Team. Basically, this is a high honor in Pop Warner which could lead to a/many scholarships! We are very proud of our boi and we will be heading to Reno next weekend to a "Gala Event" honoring all the kids chosen!!

KINGS vs. HORNETS

Justin was invited to go to the Kings game last week with his buddy Bryan..thanks guys! They had a great time! They went to check out House Party Live...the pregame show on Comcast channel and they were on tv. Joe tivo'd and his brothers were so excited to see him on tv. Check out this youtube video-after the clip of the slam dunks it pans onto the crowd and you will see the boys-Wolfie Justin (in red/blue retro jacket) Bryan and Evan.

BASKETBALL 2/10/07 WEEK #4

JUSTIN'S GAME
Justin had a great game this week! He played hard and did a great job both on offense & defense! It seems that his team is healthy now and they are really coming together and working as a team! They are 3-1 right now, and really they should be 4-0...they lost their very first game by ONE point but they definetly outplayed the other team! That's how it goes sometimes though!

Jake also had an AWESOME game this week. Unfortunately the boys played 2 of the first 3 games at the same time so it was nice to finally get to sit and watch! Jake's team is really working together great as a team...especially for Division 1. They are passing the ball good and setting screens for each other and it's all just really clicking for them. I'm having a hard time getting good pics in these gyms so bear with the bad quality!! Jakes team is now 0-0-4....meaning they have "tied" 4 times now!! **wink** you always tie in Div. 1 - no one wins, no one loses **wink**

I have a First Aid/CPR class two nights this week that gets out pretty late up in *the big city* near us! How sweet is my hubby for being so concerned about my well being that he went out and bought me this.....to ward off the bad guys who might jump out and attack me?!?!?!
