TRACK IS WINDING DOWN..as is the school year!!!

Track is winding down, and I must say it's been an experience but Justin has loved every minute of it and has made some new Jr. High friends which will be good as he start Jr. High (UGH!!!!) next year! The last couple of Track Meets his Coach wanted him to run long distance. He may not be the fastest kid but he can run for days! They have one more Track Meet left this week where he will do the Long Jump, 70m Hurdles, Mile and 800m.

BASEBALL IS IN FULL SWING

Jake is having a great season of Baseball so far! His coaches are awesome, very encouraging and fair! (Thanks Jimmy, Joe, Dean, Scott...) And, thanks to "Gabe" he's really cracking the ball! Jake even took a line drive to the face at Tuesday's game. It completely freaked me out, and him, but all is good now! Jake was playing Pitcher and the ball was hit right at his face, hit the bill of his hat and then his right eye. It swelled up but we kept ice on it for about 2 hours and the next day you could hardly tell what happened! Thanks goodness!!!

1st DRAGONS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Summer Basketball has begun! Justin had his first tournament (after a long day at the MayFair and long morning at the parade) a couple of weekends ago in Lodi. We love watching the boys play competitively and it can get quite intense at times! It's a great group of boys who play against each other during DYBL season and then work so well together as a team during the summer. They started off a bit slow both games but came stormin' back and won the first game and lost the second game by only 3 points!

MAYFAIR!

Well, we survived another year of MayFair! MayFair is a HUGE deal here in this little town! Not te mention it's the oldest running Fair in the State. Usually we like to go on Thursday night when it's not as crowded, but this year Justin wanted to take off and hang out with his friends so we decided to brave the crowds and go on Friday after school. (yes, we even have a minimum day for MayFair Friday!!) I did not take my camera, luckily Steph did and cught these shots for me at the Fair....

This is what happens when you let your child take off with money in his pocket...he buys an airbrushed hat!!!! Don't you remember buying airbrushed shirts girls???
Awww...Jakey was so sweet with Josh on the rides. For some reason this year Josh was a bit fearful of going on most of the rides. Do you think Joshy is enjoying himself?!?!?!

TO MY DEAR & LOYAL FAITHFUL READERS....

"So much to blog, so little time" seems to be my new motto! Life is just crazy...still! You know, the regular stuff...Baseball, Track, Basketball, throw in a little Football, School stuff, Preschool stuff, House stuff, Work, tons of year end school stuff, getting ready for our trip to LA for Justin's award banquet...well, you get the picture! But, never fear my loyal readers I have lots of pictures to back this all up with! We only have 10 school days (and work days for me left) and then we will slow down a little bit! So, do stay tuned and don't give up on me and my little blog!

On a side note, everyone is asking about Pap updates....Papa's surgery went good, textbook said his Dr. They were able to "fix" a couple other problems that showed up in his angiogram while replacing his aorta. He stayed in the hospital for about a week after surgery and is now home, feeling good and recovering. Nuse Momo is taking good care of him I'm sure :-) So, thanks to everyone who has called, emailed and asked!

PRAY FOR PAPA!

The boys and their Papa...aka my Dad The reason my sister was only passing thru is she is on her way to the City with my parents for Pap's surgery. About 2 weeks ago my Dad found out his aorta is enlarged so he goes in tomorrow to prep for heart surgery on Thursday. My brother, Aunt and two cousins will be there with my Mom for the surgery then I will be heading down Friday when I get off work. Everyone send out prayers for Papa!

AUNT RHONDA WAS PASSING THRU!

Aunt Rhonda...aka my sister... just flew in from NC! The kids have been so excited to see her! It's been a LONG time since we've seen her! SInce she was just passing thru with my parents we only got to visit for about an hour. I will do some catching up this weekend and see you again next week!
