CAJ COUGAR BASKETBALL

It's so hard to believe my oldest is in Junior High. For years he has talked about trying out for the Junior High Basketball Team, and finally the day came. It was a rough week of tryouts with Football still going and trying to be at both, without letting either Coach down. In the end, it all worked out and he made the team! We are very excited for him and obviously very proud. He is very fortunate to have an awesome Coach who is so great with the kids. It's going to be a fun season, and I promise not to complain every week about my camera taking crappy pictures inside the gym! But it does, so you'll have to bear with me!!!

First Scrimmage game vs. FF Ballers...Justin has #10 on in this game....obviouslt he's the Point Guard and not the Power Forward :-) Game #2 vs. Winters...
CAJ 76 Winters19
He even had time to stop and smile for his Mommy!

Game #3 vs. Douglass

UGH! They lost by one basket in OT! It was a great game though...neck in neck the whole time! Justin is #3...

AAAAWWW...how cute, brudders cheering on the team!

FOOTBALL-LAST REGULAR SEASON GAME

Well, it's hard to believe that the Regular Season of Football has come to and end! It's been a great year with a few bumps and bruises and fractures along the way. I think overall Jake had a great first year. Despite a couple rough games/practices and fracturing his thumb, he really enjoyed football and his team. His team had a great season and only lost 3 games. I think next year, with this first year under his belt, he will come out of his shell a bit more and get more aggressive! For being so young (he was one of three 7 year olds) he has a good concept of the game and knows what needs to be done, though sometimes getting it done is a bit harder. Anyways, we loved watching him in action and can't wait for the Mitey Mite Bowl in a couple weeks (then he will offically be done for the season!)

Jake #31...halftime water break/Coaches "chat"
And Justin's Team....they played their last game of the season this week. They had a rough season, but the boys all played with so much heart and just coulnd't overcome the injuries that plagued them as well as the fact that they had a very small roster with half of them being first year players. They played tough all the way to finish off the season and we are very proud of all Justin did this year! He played every down of every game and never gave up! And, we are very happy to tell you he has been chosen for the NBYFC PeeWee AllStar Team! They will play in December so watch for that!
Justin #10 and his handoff to John....
PeeWee Captains...one last time!

LAKE TAHOE

For our Anniversary and J&J's we took a little weekend jaunt to Tahoe! Every year for our Anniversaries, which are a week apart, we try to go to either Reno or Tahoe (whever the free rooms are!!) with J&J. We didn't think we were going to be able to this year, but when Jun got the clearance from his Doctor we booked our rooms! We had a great, relaxing weekend and the weather was perfect up there! We partook in a bit in the Casino, Julie and I enjoyed a FABULOUS massage and spa afternoon and we had one of the best meals I think I have ever had! I didn't get but a handful of pics over the weekend, but did get a few!

J & J Us...we had Dinner at Friday's Station Seafood & Steakhouse at the top of Harrah's overlooking the Lake. WOW! is all I can say about the food. We all LOVED what we had and it really was the best meal I've had in a long long long long time! I highly recommend it if you are ever in Tahoe!
View of the Lake from Harrah's
Embassy Suites...this is where it all began for us 13 years ago! When they expanded they did away with the little Chapel where we got married...so sad!

HALLOWEEN 2007

So, Halloween totally snuck up on all of us this year and my creative costume juices just weren't flowing! This is a bit reminiscent of a few years ago...but here they are...Joshy as a Kings Fan, Jake as a Raiders Fan and Justin, who knows!! As usual, after a day of school parades, festivities, parties we wandered on over to the R Family for our Annual Frito Boat feast! Though, this year, we didn't have to dine-n-dash to get back to our hood! Cuz, you know we are in the same hood now! As usual, the food was fab and we got a kick out of the older boys "scaring" everyone in the Haunted House Wolfie made!
