JUSTIN-SLY PARK BASKETBALL CAMP

Well, he made it thru the week. Not without an injury though!! As most of you know Justin is QUITE PRONE to injuring himself playing so hard, so it was no surprise when we got there Thursday to find out he had pulled a muscle in his stomach that morning! Despite the extreme heat and not playing all day Thursday and most of Friday he still had a GREAT time! He definetly loved it and is ready to go back next year! He had great stories to tell us about Coach Williams and his crazy stories---sounds like he kept the kids entertained! He managed to keep himself together and even brushed his teeth twice!! The parents headed up Thursday night to watch games then all the kids from our hometown went out for Pizza! It really was a great group of kids that went to the camp! And, our Hometown Coach must be real proud of all the older kids who took home so many awards! Way to go! This was definetely an experience Justin will never forget!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

CHEETOH LEWIS is his name, OH!! I'm still not sure why Joshy started calling him Cheetoh and continues to do so. And as most of you know there is no reasoning with a 2 year old and he'll continue calling him that anyways!! It has actually started to grow on all of us now! Jake insisted on him having a middle name so he chose Lewis! Isn't he so precious?!?!? He actually has a great temperment! And I like his floppy ears!! (rat terriers ears are supposed to stick up) The crate training is coming along, whether I like it or want to do it it's necessary I know!! Justin is going to just love him to death when he gets home and meets him!

WE NEED YOUR HELP....

.....naming our new puppy!! Yes, we finally got a puppy! We've been wanting one for months! Well, actually the kids & I! We finally cam to a compromise on what type with Joe and decided on this Rat Terrier! You see, we wanted a small fuufuu dog and Joe wanted a BIG dog! He is the most precious little thing and so far has settled in pretty good! Joshy has not tormented it yet and is actually quite gentle with him! I will keep you posted on his first night..... So now we need your help naming him! We have come up with a few names with the help of Steph and Lexi reading Road signs all the way down Hwy 80. DIESEL, DEUCE, DUKE, KIP, NAPOLEON, PEDRO, RICO (can you guys guess my kids favorite movie?!?!?) TONY, CHEETO (Joshy's choice!) GUIDO, DUDE, LEWIS.....

JUSTIN'S FIRST WEEK LONG OVERNIGHT CAMP!!

Well, today was the day! We dropped Justin off at Sly Park Basketball Camp for a week! He was very excited!! We had a big 'ol meal on our way up with a group of kids from Dixon! They are going to have so much fun---their days are jammed packed from 7:00am til 10:00pm when lights go out! Hopefully they can manage to stay cool-it was well over 100 when we dropped them off! I know the boys are going to have so much fun...I just hope Justin remembers his manners, manages to shower (other than in the swimming pool) and at least brush his teeth once! It's a mom thing I know! We are heading back up Thursday night to watch their games so I will post more pics then!!

R.I.P. BUDDY

Justin's beloved hamster Buddy has passed away! Buddy was his, well, best buddy! It was definetly a very emotional day as a parent when your child loses his pet! He was the most precious little guy! Fluffy cream colored teddy bear hamster! We will all miss him! He was so much fun and the best hamster ever!

24 HOURS OF NON-STOP FUN!

What started out as a "quick" trip to my parents to get the boys carseats turned into 24 hours of nonstop boy stuff!!! Actually, we weren't even there 24 hours! The boys kept themselves quite busy though...playing in the mud, going for tractor/wagon rides, playing in the treehouse, playing basketball, going to feed the ducks in Red Bluff, going to visit Uncle Pooh & Michelle, going to the "house of PEZ" and plenty more.....so much fun..... Justin's friend Wolfie came along with us! What's up with the goofy and tough looking faces?!?!? Oh yeah, it's a 10 year old thing!!!

UNCLE POOH

The boys sure love their Uncle Pooh (aka my brother Lance...)

A VISIT WITH UNCLE POOH & MICHELLE

We decided to go see Uncle Pooh at his girlfriend Michelle's house on our way to get an Ice Cream. She lives just outside of Red Bluff in the country...a boys dream!!!

Now this is a "real" swing! Wolfie looking for frogs....Momo have you found the two escapees in your house yet?!?!?!
Joshy on the 1st level of the treehouse. Doesn't this look like a picture you would see at the Fair?!?!?
Justin and Wolfie....

Barnyard Basketball! It doesn't matter where we go they always end up playing some hoops!!!

PEZ, PEZ AND MORE PEZ!!!

Okay, a friend of my parents collects and sales PEZ!! She was kind enough to let us bring the kids over to check out her collection. Needless to say they were in shock at the amount of stuff she has! It is quite impressive I must say! She was so nice and told the kids all about the history of PEZ and showed them some of her oldest and most valuable PEZ dispensers! They even got a few to take home!!! Now they know how Charlie felt going into the Chocolate Factory!!!! It's a kids dream....

FEEDING THE DUCKS

The kids love to go to the Sacramento River in Red Bluff to feed the ducks!

PAPA'S TREEHOUSE

Papa's Treehouse! I still don't know if Papa built this for the kids or himself! heehee... The kids LOVE the treehouse and the fact it has a Basketball Hoop attached is icing on the cake! Thank goodness his garage didn't completely burn down building the top! Remeber the earlier post of Joshy "Papa Garage Firetruck Fire"?? Well, Papa was working on the top to the treehouse when the fire started!!!!
Early morning breakfast in the treehouse....

TRACTOR RIDE!

Justin "trying" to look tough! I think Justin & Wolfie were having more fun than the little ones! Actually, Papa probably was!!

MUD!!!

The boys thought it would be funny to paint Joshy with mud! Joshy can't resist the mud at my parents!
